Amanda
is an NYC+Bozeman based costume designer. She graduated with a BA in History from Columbia University in 1998 and then was a member of the 2000-2001 Motley Theatre Design course (R.I.P.). She completed a certificate course through F.I.T. in Image Consulting.
Her road to a career in film has been long and indirect, with detours through the opera, live performance and production designing. Many amazing mentors, role models, gurus, collaborators and cautionary tales have guided her way.
Projects that marry substance and style really light her fire. Each job is a different formulation of observing, listening, relating, communicating, imagining, testing and making and she just loves that.
